Ean Carter is a management trainer and consultant with extensive experience in business, marketing, advertising and training across Australia and S.E. Asia.

Qualifications
Ean graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from SAIT/UniSA in 1989. His additional qualifications include Copywriting (AWARD School 93), Direct marketing (ADMA 94), Advanced Presentations (Rogen 95), Cert. 3 retail (TAFE 17), Cert. III in Business (TAFE 20), and Cert. IV in Training – Enterprise (TAFE 2023.
Australian Experience
Ean held management positions with REPCO, IBM and Faulding Pharma, and advertising agencies DDB Needham, Wilson-Everard and Y&R/Mattingly
1996-2007 Vietnam
In Sep. 1996, Ean moved to HCMC, Vietnam to study a Certificate in Vietnamese Language and Culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, graduating in Sep. 1997.
In Dec. 96 he became General Manager of BBDO Advertising until Dec. 97.
1998-01 Six Thinking Hats training
In December 1997, Ean completed 2-weeks Train the Trainer programmes in Lateral Thinking and Six Thinking Hats at the de Bono Institute in Melbourne.
From 1998 to 2001, Ean trained more than 1,000 participants in Six Thinking Hats in Vietnam, working with organisations including BBDO, Colgate-Palmolive, Australian Consulate General HCMC, Siemens, Unilever, ANZ Bank, Ernst & Young, Cargill, Castrol and RAAF (Australia).
2007-17 Cambodia
2007 Ean moved to Cambodia, where he held advertising management positions with DG and AdsCom and 2011 lectured in Corporate Communications at Raffles College and Marketing at Limkokwing University.
2012-16 Seven Thinking Caps training
Ean resumed training development in 2012 with Seven Thinking Caps, incorporating Gleeson’s Grey Cap for Wisdom into the seven-cap framework.
From 2014 to 2016, Ean trained more than 100 participants in Cambodia.
Ean’s training focuses on helping individuals and teams apply structured thinking to decision-making, meetings, teamwork and everyday workplace challenges.
